Ever since pioneering safety matting in the UK in 1979, COBA has led the industry with innovative products and unmatched expertise. The inception of COBAmat® to wooden duck-boarding at the time, and many more innovations have occurred since, including the introduction of Orthomat® in 1993, and Social Distancing Mats in 2020 – all to improve safety and comfort for those that stand at work.

The remarkable growth of our business has demanded expansion, and we now operate from five different facilities spanning from the UK, Germany, Slovakia and South Africa. Supported also by sales representatives in France, Poland, Spain, Portugal and Italy. With a combined storage space of 44,000 ft, we are poised to best serve our customers, and continue our legacy of excellence in workplace safety. And speaking of customers, COBA continues to lead the way in providing extensive backing through product training and marketing support. Our dedicated team of experts conduct joint site visits, offering specialised knowledge to the unique requirements of the end user. Also, our PIM system launched in 2021, making accessing product information a breeze.

The environmental issues we face in this world are concerning, which is why we regularly reassess our products and processes. So far this includes offset carbon emission, adopting recyclable packaging, and partnering with Sedex for ethical sourcing (in the UK) to name just a few. In fact, one of our most recent additions is the ReGen range of mats made from 100% regenerated material.
